GENERAL FAQ (TO BE UPDATED)

IS THIS A FURRY GAME
If that's your thing bruh. But no in general it's just a general jamjar game with a gimmick. Characters can change as little or as much as you like.

WHAT KIND OF CHARACTERS CAN I APP?
Canon characters, OCs, AUs, and PG-AU (previous game-au) are allowed, however, only ONE of a character is allowed at a time, unless there are canon duplicates already like in Spiderverse.

Characters not allowed are: Characters under 10 years old (not counting robots and AIs and shit), Real life and historical figures, Hamilton characters, and uuuh idk anyone I forget but if I see them on the app page and remember I'll tell you then.

WHAT IS THE IC TIME?
This game is 1:1 with real life! But also this is heaven/heck, timespace is our bitch, don't really think too hard about it.

ARE CANON POWERS ALLOWED?
YES but you will be TURBO NERFED. Any uber powerful characters will find they have a house arrest anklet on one their legs, heaven or hell themed, that keeps their powers in check. Basically, level cap your world destroyers at 'level 30' across the board. Of course in personal fights or confrontations I don't really care what yall do as long as all parties agree ooc. Just don't try any game breaking shit.

Can we have a more complicated (or furry) DEMON or HEAVEN FORM for special occasions/when they're angry/that can be turned on and off??
Yes!! Play with this however you see fit.

Can we get new powers from our new forms?
Yes AND no! Basically:

-If it's just for ~flavor/vibes~ or totally harmless, yes! Example: having a no-swear zone aura, smelling like, coffee or something, animal instincts, your feet/shoes leaving fiery prints, aesthetic fire on body parts, etc, all that's okay. Also as established, if you have wings you can fly with them now.

-If you already have a canon power but are translating it to your new form-also okay! Example: A character who already can make fireballs can now also make them from their demon wings, or a character who does dbz lasers decides they can only do so from their halo now. Like that!

-Giving BRAND NEW offensive powers you never had before - BZZT not okay! If you want to get some new powers you're gonna have to make contracts bb.

This has been added to the FAQ! You should read the faq! If we catch anyone power gaming people we reserve the right to thread hop and have Abe/Lucy be like 'YOU DON'T HAVE THE PAPERWORK FOR THIS' and you will get a house arrest power nerf bracelet.

My character is a zombie/vampire/whatever do I still need to EAT PEOPLE?
If you wanna keep all your undead monster quirks and weaknesses feel free, or you can nerf them. Get player permission if you're gonna go around chewing on folks tho.

My Angel/Hellsona has wings! CAN I FLY?
You can't fly between realms but if you give yourself wings yes you can fly around the cities/garden!

Do I have to humanize my character for the game?
Nope! If you wanna App Louis Beastars you can be your weird human feet deer self. HOWEVER if your character is abnormally large they must be shrank down so they an fit in a hotel.

DO THEY HAVE TO STAY IN THE HOTEL???
Not..not really I guess you do you.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT CONTRACTS??
Characters may feel the compulsion to try and bargain for each other's souls! If a PC buys someone's soul, they can have power over them in some way you all oocly agree with. This can be as silly as "I get to make you go to bed on time" or compelling them to tell the truth.

CAN CHARACTERS GET JOBS?
Yes!! If you want to say your character got a job, it is encouraged that you do so! While the hotel amenities are free, they DO have to pay for anything outside of them. Capitalism is fucked up even after you die. However 'payment' can be anything from 'do x numbers of good deeds' to actual weird heaven or hell currency, idc.

CAN I SAY XYZ EXISTS?
As long as it's fitting for the setting! A reminder: Casinos, sex clubs, and drug depots are only found in hell, and nice beaches, coffee shops, and churches can only be found in heaven.

CAN MY CHARACTER CHANGE ALL AT ONCE OR CAN I PACE IT OUT?

You can handwave asking Abe or Lucy in the garden, they will tell you!

I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND OTHER NPCS!!!
Abe and Lucy will ONLY be out in arrival posts and explaining event posts. This is NOT a plot driven game in the least, so there is no big bad or higher power for them to find and try to overthrow or takeover and what not.

IS THERE A MEME COMM? OR A NETWORK COMM?
NO I HATE CLUTTER SO MUCH, 2 COMMS ONLY, FINAL DESTINATION. All memes can be posted to the ooc comm, and any 'text' or network posts can be posted to the main IC comm like normal.

Why do the layouts suck??
Graphic design is not my passion I'm just here for the vibes.

How Does Activity Check work??
Right now considering just doing a post every month in the ooc comm and ppl have to comment to it with their AC, but this is TBD! ETA NEVERMIND PUT YOUR MONTHLY AC ON YOUR PROFILE ON THE TAKEN LIST

How old does a canon have to be before we can app it? As my version is from a canon that's... well, only a few weeks old in its latest installment.

There's no time limit on canons aside from like, 'have more than one or two episodes' if it's an ongoing series lol. Just be sure to warn for spoilers as a courtesy!

No prob!! But that's totally your judgment call! Some people put 'general spoiler warning for xyz' on their first comment/top levels and people tag at their own risk, or some will just spoiler warning when it becomes relevant in the thread/comment. So do what feels right for you!

I AM TOO LAZY TO SWITCH JOURNALS but I am considering raising it to 3 after October depending on activity levels at that time!! Not before since I think ppl would be overwhelmed with 3+ characters trying to juggle werewolf month + whatever plot I cook up for halloween, but we will see!

Since the network relies to some extent on Phone Magic, would it be possible for a character to send a message to Heaven characters only, or Hell characters only?

Or is it just 'nope, if you want to send that then everyone can read it'?

YEP. There are afterlife versions of all normal social media sites! There is also normal earth internet but access to 'mortal' social media is blocked cuz that would be weird (TMW UR DEAD EX STARTS POSTING)

but the afterlife versions are a-okay for any kind of use!

HELLO IT'S ME AGAIN TO BE A PROBLEM. But this time it's for future character shenanigans.

So how is nicotine viewed as far as where one could buy it? Like would it technically be part of the drug depots or general thing? Asking because the character would hilariously be some Heaven shenanigans despite being entirely confused as to how he ended up there.

And, uh. Also any thoughts on if a character's ability is basically just gun? It's a JJBA, so I am literally not kidding. As in summon gun from nowhere, control bullets, HIS POWER IS GUN. I should clarify this is more of a "how much is Heaven going to want to punch him in the throat for this????" question than if it's allowed lmfao.

NORMAL SMOKES/CIGS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN HELL ONLY along with vapes, but heaven has places that sell High Quality (TM) smokes like. detective pipes and fancy shit. There are more 'no smoking' areas in Heaven tho probably. Basically feel free to handwave but they would probably get finger wags from cherubs and other angels.

I NEED MORE DETAILS ON GUN there are too many characters who are just GUN. Is it like DIGIMON GUN or soul eater I TURN INTO MY FRIENDS GUN WITH MY TWIN or MY HEAD IS A GUN or--! i'm vaguely jjba familiar but blanking on this character.

Just in general he'd likely be nerfed/have limited ammo and have to do a stupid mini quest to get a toned down version of it, or you can self nerf and put a collar on him so if he's getting TOO crazy with gun it zaps him (I did this for bakugo so he's not just picking fights all the time lol).

If using in heaven the cherubs would def not be allowing that and stuff flowers into his guns!! As for ammo tho no matter what that would only be available for purchase in hell.

THE PROBLEM IS THE, UH, WHOLE AMMO IS ACTUALLY PART OF THE STAND ITSELF BIT.... And even then I don't think it's ever been stated if there is a limit on what he can use at a time because /vague gestures

tbh I doubt he'd ever actually use it outside of fancy dumb gun tricks or if someone decides to get really up in his space since Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak Hol is a different less stupid beast than Stardust Crusader's Hol. BUT THE ZAPPING THING IS HILARIOUS, HE'D HATE THAT SO MUCH.

GAWD OF COURSE IT IS LMAO okay in that case!! You can:

1) go with self nerf collar where it just zaps to keep him in line (exception is player agreed stuff/rule of funny ofc)

2) Alternate self nerf where sometimes at your discretion the bullets it shoots are Wrong in some way, like sometimes maybe it's a watergun/water bullet or a paintball or such. JUST A SLIGHLY MALFUNCTION.

Either way all good just get player permission for normal shooting lolol

Actually I had one last question which is not weapon related. But if someone comes in from a canon point where they, say, wear three wristwatches on one arm like a paranoid idiot, how would Heaven and/or Hell fuck that up? Since I assume time is a little fucky.
