GENERAL FAQ (TO BE UPDATED)

IS THIS A FURRY GAME
If that's your thing bruh. But no in general it's just a general jamjar game with a gimmick. Characters can change as little or as much as you like.

WHAT KIND OF CHARACTERS CAN I APP?
Canon characters, OCs, AUs, and PG-AU (previous game-au) are allowed, however, only ONE of a character is allowed at a time, unless there are canon duplicates already like in Spiderverse.

Characters not allowed are: Characters under 10 years old (not counting robots and AIs and shit), Real life and historical figures, Hamilton characters, and uuuh idk anyone I forget but if I see them on the app page and remember I'll tell you then.

WHAT IS THE IC TIME?
This game is 1:1 with real life! But also this is heaven/heck, timespace is our bitch, don't really think too hard about it.

ARE CANON POWERS ALLOWED?
YES but you will be TURBO NERFED. Any uber powerful characters will find they have a house arrest anklet on one their legs, heaven or hell themed, that keeps their powers in check. Basically, level cap your world destroyers at 'level 30' across the board. Of course in personal fights or confrontations I don't really care what yall do as long as all parties agree ooc. Just don't try any game breaking shit.

Can we have a more complicated (or furry) DEMON or HEAVEN FORM for special occasions/when they're angry/that can be turned on and off??
Yes!! Play with this however you see fit.

Can we get new powers from our new forms?
Yes AND no! Basically:

-If it's just for ~flavor/vibes~ or totally harmless, yes! Example: having a no-swear zone aura, smelling like, coffee or something, animal instincts, your feet/shoes leaving fiery prints, aesthetic fire on body parts, etc, all that's okay. Also as established, if you have wings you can fly with them now.

-If you already have a canon power but are translating it to your new form-also okay! Example: A character who already can make fireballs can now also make them from their demon wings, or a character who does dbz lasers decides they can only do so from their halo now. Like that!

-Giving BRAND NEW offensive powers you never had before - BZZT not okay! If you want to get some new powers you're gonna have to make contracts bb.

This has been added to the FAQ! You should read the faq! If we catch anyone power gaming people we reserve the right to thread hop and have Abe/Lucy be like 'YOU DON'T HAVE THE PAPERWORK FOR THIS' and you will get a house arrest power nerf bracelet.

My character is a zombie/vampire/whatever do I still need to EAT PEOPLE?
If you wanna keep all your undead monster quirks and weaknesses feel free, or you can nerf them. Get player permission if you're gonna go around chewing on folks tho.

My Angel/Hellsona has wings! CAN I FLY?
You can't fly between realms but if you give yourself wings yes you can fly around the cities/garden!

Do I have to humanize my character for the game?
Nope! If you wanna App Louis Beastars you can be your weird human feet deer self. HOWEVER if your character is abnormally large they must be shrank down so they an fit in a hotel.

DO THEY HAVE TO STAY IN THE HOTEL???
Not..not really I guess you do you.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT CONTRACTS??
Characters may feel the compulsion to try and bargain for each other's souls! If a PC buys someone's soul, they can have power over them in some way you all oocly agree with. This can be as silly as "I get to make you go to bed on time" or compelling them to tell the truth.

CAN CHARACTERS GET JOBS?
Yes!! If you want to say your character got a job, it is encouraged that you do so! While the hotel amenities are free, they DO have to pay for anything outside of them. Capitalism is fucked up even after you die. However 'payment' can be anything from 'do x numbers of good deeds' to actual weird heaven or hell currency, idc.

CAN I SAY XYZ EXISTS?
As long as it's fitting for the setting! A reminder: Casinos, sex clubs, and drug depots are only found in hell, and nice beaches, coffee shops, and churches can only be found in heaven.

CAN MY CHARACTER CHANGE ALL AT ONCE OR CAN I PACE IT OUT?

You can handwave asking Abe or Lucy in the garden, they will tell you!

I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND OTHER NPCS!!!
Abe and Lucy will ONLY be out in arrival posts and explaining event posts. This is NOT a plot driven game in the least, so there is no big bad or higher power for them to find and try to overthrow or takeover and what not.

IS THERE A MEME COMM? OR A NETWORK COMM?
NO I HATE CLUTTER SO MUCH, 2 COMMS ONLY, FINAL DESTINATION. All memes can be posted to the ooc comm, and any 'text' or network posts can be posted to the main IC comm like normal.

Why do the layouts suck??
Graphic design is not my passion I'm just here for the vibes.

How Does Activity Check work??
Right now considering just doing a post every month in the ooc comm and ppl have to comment to it with their AC, but this is TBD! ETA NEVERMIND PUT YOUR MONTHLY AC ON YOUR PROFILE ON THE TAKEN LIST

They can fuck up however you like OR be totally functional; time seemingly runs 1:1 in heckin but its actually moving much faster than time in any of their home lands (which is why if they leave/drop they just go back to whatever they were doing at the time like nothing happened).

Robin here is from a show where he's a 10,000- 12,000-year-old ghost. In his canon, it's possible to "move on" and ascend to whatever comes next outside the world. Since he can't die and come here because he's already dead, could he be in the game for that reason?

Moreover, as a ghost, he has the power to disrupt or redirect electricity, due to dying from a lightning strike. Even if he's not technically a ghost anymore, could he have it?

Finally, is there a moon in this world?

Being a ghost is totally fine! their soul could have just been lasso'd by whatever accidentally pulled everyone else in, oops! He could have also just moved on like you said, yea! He could also remain a ghost somehow or get a physical body, up to you!

Electricity powers a-ok, just no godmodeyness, etc

There is a fake moon in heaven and a blood moon with a pentagram on it in Hell! They can affect him however you want or not at all.

YO WHAT'S UP i just recontextualized myself with the rules again and realized i may have made a boo boo because sometimes I forget stuff.

So I made Kaiba basically into a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and as a result i figured to give him the ability to do its attack, the Burst Stream of Destruction. It's not actually a murder ray like what the dragon card itself has, it's concussive and would cause reasonably painful injury from 2 of his 3 allotted blasts.

IS THAT STILL AGAINST THE RULES? I might be playing Kaiba but I am not in possession of enough money to screw the rules here so I can remove that if it's too much!

NAH it's vague cuz it's case by case! Say, Apollo Justice and his stupid magic bracelet--it's small and inconsequential so whatever you can bring that with him! BUT if it's like, a magic weapon that makes them badass, they need to earn that back! Alternatively if you WANT to make them do quests to make their lives harder, they can come with absolutely nothing ever lmao.

Basically just let us know what's up and we'll yay/nay.

I had a question because my stupid brain finally put some garbagio together and went "OH, OH NO DUH."

So Velvette being a BJD basically. Say if she wanted to, I don't know, find some parts or get some parts to switch out for her body. Nothing insane, just, like, say she wanted to have a different chest piece or hands or something equally as ridiculous. How would she be able to go about doing that? Or can I just go "RULE OF FUNNY/COOL" since who the fuck else is going to do something like that? Literally just for appearances sake, nothing like adding wings or whatever.

Outside of dying again is there other ways a character can redeem themselves and go to Heaven? With Michael's help Javert has been learning to deal with his problems that brought him to his suicide and to Hell. I wanted to eventually have him be able to finally go to Heaven.

You can absolutely have your character ascend if he's gone though a whole arc!! Same in reverse! We just don't want people swapping like, every other week and such lmao.

You're free to make as big of a deal of it as you want OR be as lowkey as you want! If you want I can even have a cherub come give him new paperwork to initiate it if you need, just let me know!!

In general tho if its a player plot that isn't affecting the whole game or is a one off post, you don't need mod permission, you can do the set up ooc and just go for it IC whenever!

Sorry the reply took so long RL has been insane this month.

Basically this is a mix of need permission and my brain went "oh, this could be fun for the mod to mess with if this is allowed...."

Basically in this thread, Skuld mentioned that where she comes from Goddesses learn how to do precision meteor strikes. (It is one of the three challenges in the Trial Of The Goddess, an archaic challenge between two Goddesses - the other two being whackamole and tickle fight by proxy because her canon is weird....)

Anyway, the reason it came up was that Keith mentioned needing a rare metal found in certain comets. So Skuld wants to summon meteorites to try and gather the metal needed to build Voltron. Well, the Skuld version.

So the mod permission piece is... can she do that in game? Is that acceptable?

And if it is, I thought it could be fun to mess with if you wanted that I could have her summon a number of small ones that would make a pretty light show in the sky, but then for event drama if you wanted it is 100% in her personality to get frustrated by the slow pace and to try and summon a larger one than she really can control, leading to whatever chaos you want to mess with. Her magic is water and given how the moon is connected to tides and this is in Heaven.... my brain went oceanic, but really... lots of possible fun ideas if you wanted to play with it.

So part 1 is: can she even do this?

if yes, part 2 is: do you wanna mess with this?

and if yes, part 3 is: when should this be drawn out until to make sure you can fit it into your schedule?

Hi! It's Libera! I had a question about transformations / forms.

I'd been thinking about Yuugi having a baby dragon form that he ends up being stuck in for a while that looks a lot like a flying cat (Imagine a very fluffy cat with wings with his usual mood ring gems and you're in the right ballpark).

No powers or perks or anything. He can just turn to this tiny version of himself that can fly, talk, and... that's it. He would eventually learn how to control the switching but he'd be stuck in this form for a while as he figures it out.

Would that be okay?

Belatedly rolling back to this--yes all that is fine!! She may get 'punished' by cherubs for BRINGING MINI-ARMEGGEDON but the punishment can be up to you lmao.
